Casting Notes / Notes du Casting: The latest film from award-winning filmmaker Randall Okita and producer Jason Lapeyre (I DECLARE WAR). Open to performers of all ethnicities and experience levels. This is a very low budget film but a great opportunity for Performers.

Please note - The original breakdown for lead role "Eddie" was released by Deirdre Bowen Casting. Deirdre Bowen and Millie Tom are consulting on this project only. They will not be in attendance at casting sessions. Production is arranging and coordinating their own casting sessions.

Synopsis: Storyline After the death of a friend, teen thief Jo fantasizes about getting away. When people close to him are victimized by violence, Jo is forced to choose between fighting back or saving himself and leaving behind everything he knows.

This production is open to Performers of all ethnicities and experience levels.

1. Mr. Meikle - Supporting - 30 to 40 - Male / Masculin - Any

MR. MEIKLE Male 30 - 40
Open to all Ethnicities. Mr. Meikle is a once-great high-school teacher who is a little burnt out. He is passionate and charismatic. He seems beaten down by life, but still finds the optimism to come in to work every day and teach.
 
2. Lucy - Supporting - 40 to 50 - Female / Féminin - Any

LUCY Female 40 - 50
Open to all Ethnicities. Lucy is a mother with two jobs at the end of her rope trying to hold her family together. She can't keep up, she is tired and often angry. Underneath it all she still does care deeply about her children but all the pressure is getting to her and she is sometimes lashes out at those around her.
 
3. Colin - Supporting - 40 to 50 - Male / Masculin - Any

COLIN Male 40 - 50
Open to all Ethnicities. This role is open to any ethnicity. Colin has been out of work for months and is emotionally closing himself off from the world. Life didn't turn out how he wanted and the guilt and shame are building. The cold, harsh words he sometimes says to his family come from a lot of self-loathing.
 
4. Sara - Supporting - 16 to 17 - Female / Féminin - Any

SARA Female 16 - 17
Open to all Ethnicities. Sara is open and cool with an alternative look. She tries to hide the hard life she has had.
 
5. Greg - Supporting - 16 to 18 - Male / Masculin - Any

GREG Male 16 - 18
Open to all Ethnicities. Greg is his own man, he loves to party, talk to girls, he is a quirky joker with his own sense of humour who tries to bring his shy friends out of their shells.
 
6. Kay - Supporting - 13 to 14 - Female / Féminin - Any

KAY Female 13 - 14
Open to all Ethnicities. Kay is the baby of the family. She is can be shy in a crowd, but hates school and loves to laugh with her friends, and she fights viciously with her mother. She looks up to her big brother for support and protection.
 
7. Danny - Supporting - 20 to 26 - Male / Masculin - Any

DANNY Male 20 - 26
Open to all Ethnicities. Danny is looking for trouble. He is a drinker and is always willing to throw a punch for the team. He likes to joke around, but often at the expense of others, and can get mean, really mean. Actors should be comfortable working in a very physical way. Scenes include violence and abusive behaviour.
